A study performed by the University of Adelaide fertility centre pointed out that fertility numbers during embryo transfer could be doubled by using acupuncture. The University of Adelaide experiment plays a role in a small but expanding body of investigation that suggests acupuncture can help you with enhancing pregnancy outcomes when going through IVF treatment. IVF Acupuncture for women

1) Before and during the medication phase of IVF

  * Building up your body's Qi, and balancing your body's Yin and Yang

  * Regulating your cycle and hormones

  * Helping with ovulation

  * Assisting to bolster egg quality

 2 treatments per week for 4-5 weeks(optimal)

 

2) Acupuncture after egg collection 

  * Reducing any local tissue trauma or bleeding

  * Warming your uterus, helping prepare a calm environment for the arrival of an embryo.

2-3 treatments in first week after the procedure, 1-2 treatment(s) in following week till the day of embryo transfer.

 

3) On the day of embryo transfer

  * increase the rates of having a baby

1 treatment on the day of the transfer and 1 treatment the following day 

 

4) One week after embryo trasfer

  * Enhancing microcirculation in the uterine lining and the newly developing placenta

  * Reducing anxiety

1 treatment per week until week 12 of pregnancy as need

 

IVF Acupuncture for men

1) Before IVF

2) On the day of sperm donation
